With the big move from cable TV to Satellite TV, the various news networks have just exploded across the small screen with news being relayed to us 24/7 and don't even get us started about games shows and reality TV shows! The good folks who present us these programs are usually learned people with professional degrees in journalism, or a lot of anchoring experience. While a couple of decades ago, being a journalist or TV show host might not have been a lucrative job, but the tides have turned.

Getting paid in millions annually, our handsome and pretty anchors and hosts need some top-notch wealth management services to keep their bank accounts from overflowing. Living the big life, these wealthy anchors are known to splurge on fast cars, expensive hotels, luxurious spas and occasionally, some blingy jewelry. After all, being a public figure on air is a pretty high-risk job… if they offend someone or share an unpopular opinion, their law firms and bevy of attorneys better be ready to defend them in court, when sued!

Ryan Seacrest: ~ $71.5 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

One TV host who has always been in demand has been Ryan Seacrest, who is busy these days commuting in his private jet between Los Angeles and New York to host both American Idol and Live! with Kelly and Ryan. For all that trouble, he gets paid a handsome $10 million yearly, ensuring that his bank account never runs dry.

Other sources of income include red carpet events, his E! Network earnings, and of course, his ever-popular radio show that features his trademark hosting style. Like that wasn’t enough, Ryan also designed his own menswear and clothing line, named Ryan Seacrest Distinction, and a men’s skincare line called Polished. Known for buying new homes and flipping them for a profit, our free online psychic does not predict bankruptcy in Ryan’s future anytime soon!

Laura Kuenssberg: ~ $2 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Something that makes this handsome man with the silver hair color even more cooler is that he has no journalism degree and was actually a student of political science in university, even interning with the CIA! Now, with an envious career and massive success, Anderson nets an annual salary of $12 million.

Martha MacCallum: ~ $700,000

[the_ad id="14919"]

She is credited and adored for her distinct way of interviewing eminent personalities. The award-winning anchor is a force to be reckoned with and commands top-dollars for all her efforts on and off the screen.

With a yearly salary of $700,000, Martha has been able to provide for a comfortable life for her three kids with husband Dan Gregory, who no doubt, has to pick up some home care and child care responsibilities, since Martha is keeping busy these days with her show and appearances.

Amy Robach: ~ $300,000

[the_ad id="14919"]

Becoming the fill-in anchor for the news/talk show, Good Morning America for many years now has been the biggest gig that anchor Amy Robach has landed, and has helped her become a known face on TV. Later, she even worked for NBC News and anchored the weekend edition of The Today Show.

With plenty of on-air experience, it was no surprise that Amy bagged the co-anchor spot on 20/20, with another popular anchor, David Muir. Amy still features as a breaking news anchor on Good Morning America, which must be good to replenish her bank account. But with a $300,000 annual salary, she won’t be running out of money any time soon.

Ginger Zee: ~ $500,000

[the_ad id="14919"]

After finishing up with college, Zee worked with multiple media houses such as WOOD-TV and WYIN-TV, but it didn’t take her long to occupy more primetime slots on Good Morning America Weekend, Nightline and ABC World News Tonight.

We got to see Zee’s competitive side when she participated as a celebrity contestant on the TV dance-based reality show Dancing with the Stars, on their 22nd cycle. On the personal front, Ginger is married to fellow TV anchor Ben Aaron and they have two kids together. If current estimations are to be believed, then this meteorologist takes home $500,000 annually, which is not a bad pay check to get at all!

Nancy O’dell: ~ $2 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Nancy got herself the 1987 Miss South Carolina and represented her native state the next year in the Miss America beauty pageant. This led to her “discovery” of sorts and she quickly began her anchoring and reporting career with WPDE-TV and later worked at WCBD-T as their crime reporter.

But it was the popular show Access Hollywood that made Nancy a known face ever since she signed up for the show in 1996, until she left in 2009. Apart from this, she has hosted a few Miss Universe pageants as well as Miss USA ones, ensuring that her $2 million yearly income gets a boost from time to time.

Megyn Kelly: ~ $22 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

The charismatic journalist Megyn Kelly broke into the scene with Fox News, working on the network between 2004 and 2017, as a news anchor. She has also co-hosted America’s Newsroom and hosted America Live. And let’s not forget that she also used to anchor for her eponymous show The Kelly File.

After a very long association with the Fox network, Kelly surprised everyone by moving to NBC as their resident talk show host and correspondent. There she presented another show named after her Megyn Kelly Today, and also the Today show, As of January 2019, Kelly no longer works with the NBC network, but that doesn’t mean that there’s a dent in her $22 million annual earnings.

Erin Andrews: ~ $1.6 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Erin Andrews, at a relatively young age, established herself as one of the most well known TV personalities across global media today, hosting ABC’s Good Morning America. And she has also managed to become one of the most beloved sports casters in recent times, thanks to College Gameday on ESPN. Through her stint on Fox NFL, Erin nets $800,000 annually, but that’s not all.

Add to that her Dancing with the Stars anchoring job that her another $700,000 every year and an additional $100,000 by endorsing various products and services. So, add all that up and Erin takes home a massive annual earnings of $1.6 million! With many more years to go, this anchor is only set to get richer.

Natalie Morales: ~ $2 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

What a stellar career NBC anchor and host Natalie Morales can claim to have. After passing on her hosting duties of Access Hollywood and NBC Dateline, she now anchors for NBC’s Today Show West Coast. With many years of experience under her belt working in the media, her annual package of $2 million seems very apt.

Speaking several languages must have come handy in Natalie’s journalistic career; that and her professional journalism degree. Known to be a hard worker, she has to remind herself not to become a workaholic for the sake of her two young sons.

Deborah Norville: ~ $1 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Earning a spot in the host’s chair of Inside Edition in the 90s gave Deborah Norville the prominence she deserved as a serious journalist. With an illustrious career to boast of, she was also chosen to be on the Board of Directors of Viacom Corporation, while also investing in a yarn business that she started.

Quite an interesting business, if you ask us, and it must be profitable as well, since a couple of years ago there was talk of her annual salary being as high as $1 million. We are sure that that number must have increased in the recent years since her investments have also grown with time.

Katy Tur: ~ $1.3 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

It’s correct to say that Ms. Tur has quite a fruitful career so far as a popular broadcast journalist, and is receiving huge pay checks as a correspondent an NBC News. Other hosting jobs include a long list of NBC programs such as Early Today, NBC Nightly News, Meet the Press, and Today, among others.

She is also an accomplished writer, and her first book hit the shelves in 2017, being appreciated by readers and critics alike. Broadcasting career aside, Tur enjoys a happy family life with her husband and their kid. With an annual income of around $1.3 million, Katy must be investing sensibly, may be in stocks or real estate?

Michael Strahan: ~ $17 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Strahan used to be a poster-boy for professional football, who eventually retired from the game and was seeking opportunities to attain financial security off the field. The big move from playing as the defensive end to becoming a full-time talk show host, turned out to be a great decision and Michael now has an annual salary of $17 million.

His TV career aside, Michael must be making some very good investment decisions, because his net worth seems to be growing every year, and is now pegged at a whopping $65 million. With his sports career behind him, and considering that he is nowhere near retiring from his TV projects, there are only good things in store for Strahan.

Steve Harvey: ~ $40 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

One of the most well-known talk show hosts and anchors has to be Steve Harvey, who has been able to fill up his bank account, all thanks to the gift of gab and his endless TV jobs! If it feels like you see him all over your TV then you won’t be wrong, because he is known to take on several TV jobs at the same time, a move that surely brings home the bacon and much more.

Harvey started out working as an auto worker, carpet cleaner, boxer mailman and did other odd jobs until he got his big break. With Little Big Shots, Family Feud, and many other shows, he is raking in an estimated $40 million each year, and is said to be worth a whopping $160 million!

Kathie Lee Gifford: ~ $2 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

For 11 long years, Kathie Lee Gifford hosted the Today show on NBC with her co-host Hoda Kotb but bid adieu to the show in 2019. She can claim to have made the show popular and well-watched, and we would have to agree! She also did a really good job on Live! With Regis and Kathie, a show that she was a part of for 15 years.

Having bagged a few characters on the small screen before, Gifford now wants to act, direct and produce movies, besides turning author, as she pens children’s books. Without considering her real estate holdings and other sources of income, Gifford walks home with an annual package of $2 million.

Naga Munchetty: ~ $3 Million to $4 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Naga Munchetty is a British television presenter, journalist and newsreader who is a regular presenter on news programs such as BBC Breakfast, BBC World News, Working Lunch and Newsnight. In 2017, she even branched out and joined a CBBC sketch show named Class Dismissed.

Having been in the news for over 2 decades, Naga has certainly accumulated a ton of wealth. She and her husband also do not have any children, so that just makes them richer! Although her exact net worth is not known, she is BBC’s second-highest earning presenter.

Charissa Thompson: ~ $500k

[the_ad id="14919"]

NFL fans are pretty familiar with Charissa Thompson since throughout her career, she has been associated with some of the biggest sports networks, GSN, Big Ten Network, ESPN and Versus. Now, moving to Fox Sports, Charissa is seen as an NFL sideline reporter, while also covering college football and basketball matches for the Big Ten Network.

Known for her extensive knowledge on the on-field nitty-gritty's, Charissa put the players at ease whenever she interviews them, especially when presenting FSN’s The Best Damn Sports Show Period. While this host earns around $500,000 a year, she is said to be worth a whopping $2 million in total.

Chris Cuomo: ~ $2.5 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Chris Cuomo, host of his own TV show, the Cuomo Prime Time, has an impressive income of $2.5 million yearly and no doubt needs the services of a wealth management firm to handle his finances. Cuomo started off his journalistic career with ABC and co-anchored New Day, apart from hosting his radio show, titled Let’s Get After It.

To think of it, Chris wanted to become an attorney, and is a licensed one as he earned his JD degree from a reputed university. But with his career on TV only growing stronger, Chris is able to provide his wife Cristina and their three kids the best of everything, including a privileged life in Manhattan.

Rachel Maddow: ~ $7 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show finally gave the very-talented Rachel, the exposure she deserved in her career. She started out as a youngling working on the radio and worked hard to gain experience as a journalist, ensuring that two of her morals are never compromised: honestly and reliability. Being an unconventional newsreader works for Maddow.

While the other programs on TV prefer to dole out entertainment news and fluff pieces, Maddow sticks to the figures and facts, and that is her USP. Her honest reporting does not sugar coat the reality and often makes her viewers question the present circumstances.

Josh Elliott: ~ $4 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Josh Elliott embarked early on his journey towards becoming a journalist since it had always been a long-time passion that he harbored. His dream came true when he saw himself on the posters advertising Sportscenter on ESPN, as he was signed on to anchor the show. This show was responsible for thrusting him into the limelight and he was quickly picked up by other networks such as ABC, CBS, and NBC.

But, in 2017, Josh was eventually fired from CBS, and the reason behind it was a miscommunication and disagreement between him and the network. Since then, he hasn’t really been on TV but we hope to see him soon. As per 2014 estimates, he was making $4 million each year, which is not too shabby at all!

Scott Pelley: ~ $5 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

The viewers loved and adored Scott Pelley when he was working as a correspondent on CBS, a network he has stayed loyal to, since he has been working for them for 3 decades now! We’re sure he must have received many hefty contracts and deals from other networks, which would have looked better on his curriculum vitae, but they were all turned down.

60 Minutes, a much-watched program on CBS, is what’s keeping Scott busy these days. Being an inquisitive journalist, he has covered major breaking news and stories such as the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, sports scandals and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Given the high-risk nature of his job, even his yearly salary of $5 million seems less.

Kelly Ripa: ~ $22 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Kelly Ripa must have thought that the 90s were the best years of her life, since she was living the big Los Angeles life, playing a lead character on the popular soap opera, All My Children, for 12 years. After a few acting jobs, she landed the show Live! with Regis and Kelly in 2000, and co-hosted the show with Regis Philbin, which only meant that the checks were bigger.

Kelly has been a constant on this show, and now hosts the talk show with current co-star Ryan Seacrest. The cute dresses, and patent charm and smile in place, Kelly has been bringing in viewers day after day. So the $22 million yearly salary is totally justified. On the personal front, she is married to her All My Children co-star Mark Consuelos, and she’s done with child care, as their three kids are all gown up.

David Gregory: ~ $5 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

As a former moderator on Meet The Press on NBC, David Gregory has been making around $5 million annually, and that’s a really good salary for any political analyst! He actually started his journalistic career when he was 18, working as a summer reporter at Tucson’s KGUN-TV.

Now working as a political analyst on CNN, David has the security of being with a reputed and popular network on TV, and he can’t be complaining about the pay check either. He and his lawyer wife have three kids together and the TV personality is glad to have some personal and professional life balance now.

Wolf Blitzer: ~ $5 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Before becoming a renowned reporter and host, Wolf Blitzer was working for Reuters Agency in Tel Aviv in the 70s, and was soon noticed by a local newspaper editor who gave him his first big break. Now CNN’s leading political anchor, the German-American Blitzer has been with the network since the 1990s and doesn’t plan to retire soon.

Adding to his hosting duties, he is also the face of The Situation Room, a show that he has hosted since 2005. Never the one to say no, he even branched out and tried his hand at acting in some Hollywood movies! With the $5 million that he makes every year, he can easily retire whenever he wants to.

[the_ad id="14919"]

Before becoming an anchor for CNN News, Lemon was hired by Fox News, then moved to NBC where he became a correspondent of Today, NBC Nightly News, and (MSNBC's) Weekend Today. Because of his hard work, the famous anchor has an estimated net worth of $3 Million, with a reported annual salary of $125,000.

He may have lost weight a couple of years ago but we still associate him with The Drew Carey Show, Whose Line is it Anyway and of course, as the host of The Price is Right.

Banking on his talents and pizzazz, Carey makes an astounding $12.5 million yearly, thanks to his many TV roles and ventures. With a net worth as large as $165 million, Drew’s annual salary is all set to increase with his new endeavours in the coming years.

Bret Baier: ~ $7 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

As the chief presenter and anchor of Special Report with Bret Baier on Fox News, Bret has done a tremendous job of pushing the show forward and making it what it is today. Before he bagged his own gig, Bret was the Pentagon correspondent and Chief White House correspondent for the same network and had a lion’s share of the limelight in those days.

Working round the clock may be hectic for most people, but since news is made every minute, Bret had to work hard to stay on top of his game. The award-winning journalist bags a solid $7 million every year for all that effort, and it does seem sufficient, don’t you think?

Jane Pauley: ~ $1.2 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

With her trademark smile in place every morning for CBS’s program Sunday Morning, Jane Pauley, has been a constant fixture on NBC’s Today for more than a decade now. With her level of expertise and experience in her field of work, Jane can proudly look back at a prosperous and fruitful career.

Can you believe that she was the first woman newscaster from Chicago to be featured in a major news program in 1975? And look how far we have come now! She was the host of Dateline NBC for 12 years but after she left the network, there was a large drop in the show’s viewership! Just goes to show how popular Jane is.

Savannah Guthrie: ~ $7 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

It would be easy to dismiss Savannah as just another pretty face on TV, but she’s all about the brains! Armed with a law degree from Georgetown University, Guthrie is a bar member in Arizona and the District of Columbia. Before joining NBC, she gained a lot of on-air experience working in Arizona, Missouri and Washington DC

After joining NBS, she was signed on to be a part of the Today show in 2012 and proved her worth on that program. Along with fellow presenter Hoda Kotb, she was one-half of the female co-hosting pair. Although Savannah’s annual salary is supposed to be around $7 million, we are sure a pay hike is in order.

Kristen Welker: ~ 2.5 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Kristen Welker, who became a household name after moderating one of the 2020 US presidential debates, is actually quite a well-known face to those who watch NBC news. Since 2010, she has been an anchor and presenter on Weekend Today and the weekend edition of Today.

Having been in the field of journalism for many years now and gaining experience in various roles, Kristen is now a veteran in the field and also demands a salary that reflects this expertise. A few sources peg her net worth to be as high as $2.5 million.

Robin Roberts: ~ $18 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Getting her start on TV as a sports anchor and reporter for the WDAM-TV channel, Robin was just waiting for her big break, which came with ESPN spotting her on the local Nashville and Atlanta stations and quickly drafted up her contract. She was a sportscaster for 15 years (1990-2015) before moving to a more meatier primetime slot.

That’s right, Robin was then chosen to anchor Good Morning America, a show that is very dear to her. She certainly has come far and worked extremely hard to reach the stage where she enjoys an annual salary of $18 million. Certainly a well-deserved compensation!

Alex Trebek: ~ $10 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

Everyone’s favorite Alex Trebek became a household name, all thanks to his anchoring job at the popular TV gameshow, Jeopardy!, ever since it’s revival in 1984. The TV veteran has also hosted a whole lot of other game shows such as Double Dare, Wizard of Odds, Battlestars, and Classic Concentration among others. But Jeopardy! is what makes Alex rich, as he takes home a whopping $10 million as his yearly salary.

Since Alex’s contract for the show is set to continue till 2022, we have a lot of him to see, even though he is already 79 years old! He certainly is not ready to hang up his boots, and has no retirement plans. Sadly, Alex has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and getting treatment for the disease. We are sure he has good medical insurance and a fantastic health plan, and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Shannon Bream: ~ $800K

[the_ad id="14919"]

Shannon Bream may have placed 4th in the Miss USA pageant after being crowned 1995’s Miss Florida, but her calling was in front of the camera as a journalist and presenter. Shannon knew Brit Hume, who was the managing editor of Fox News Washington bureau at the time, and hence was able to send in her tapes for a job opportunity at the news network. Apart from her appearance on Today, Shannon also anchors Fox’s America's News Headquarters.

Maria Bartiromo: ~ $6 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

New York Stock Exchange in the 90s is where Maria Bartiromo started reporting from and she was given the nickname “Money Honey," which she even trademarked! Fox is the parent network which hosts both her shows, Wall Street Week With Maria and Mornings With Maria and she receives a handsome $6 million annually. With a bit of that wealth, the anchor bought a Hamptons beach house. And as we know, property in The Hamptons is crazy expensive!

[the_ad id="14919"]

Everyone knows the name because Ms Sawyer has been at the top of her game, reaching peak popularity when she presented ABC World News. Sticking to ABS, she also hosted Good Morning America and Primetime for the network, and continued to prove her mettle. Working hard must come naturally to Diane, considering her very first job was being a White House staff member under Nixon.

At the beginning, CBS chose to employ her as their general assignment reporter, but ABS saw the potential in her and bumped her up with a promotion. Now, a regular face on ABC, she earns much more than she ever did, netting a yearly package of $9 million. As the veteran journalist has already in her 70’s, we hope she has invested in a good health plan and life insurance policy.

[the_ad id="14919"]

Being a host of a show (ABC's Good Morning America), apart from being a correspondent on others (ABC News and Nightline), Lara Spencer is one busy TV personality. We hope Lara trades her investment secrets with us soon!

While still appearing in front of the camera for ABC network, Lara said in 2018 that she wished to concentrate more on her production career. With experience in the sports industry and having been a national level competitive diver, her future opportunities are endless!

Judge Mathis: ~ $5 Million

[the_ad id="14919"]

It is an arbitration-based reality TV show which he presides over and takes home $5 million every year for his expertise.

Now worth a whopping $20 million in all, Judge Mathis has his own ‘jail’ to judge story which is very inspirational. After getting his degree from college he worked in the office of Detroit councilman Clyde Cleveland, and continued his legal career. Although he is now a famous TV personality, having appeared on some of the biggest talk shows, he still offers community assistance and legal advice through his website.

After his stint with ABS and CBS, Bill joined Fox News Channel and this is a very wise move on his part. He hosted The O’Reilly Factor for 16 years and it’s high ratings, year after year, was proof of his success as host. After leaving the Radio and TV industry, O’Reilly started hosting No Spin News, a podcast which is also doing very well.

After Matt Lauer’s disgraceful exit from NBC in early 2018, Hoda can claim to be part of the show’s first ever all-woman co-hosting pair. With her meteoric rise on TV, it is not a shocker that she takes home an annual pay check of around $7 million.

Taking over the hosting duties of The Daily Show from Jon Stewart on Comedy Central, after he retired, Noah has some big shoes to fill and to his credit, he’s doing a great job.

Of course, he doesn’t make as much as Jon, but the $3 million a year that the 35-year-old earns is very impressive. Considering that Noah has a written a best seller book on his life, and does plenty of comedy stand-up specials across the globe, this South African is certainly going places! No wonder he was one among Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” in 2018.

[the_ad id="14919"]
