Biopics are not a new concept in the film industry, but as much as we love these movies, it’s a huge challenge for our favorite actors who often need to forget themselves when it comes to depicting a real person on the screen. Transforming into these real-life characters is overwhelming at times, especially in the case of negative roles.
That said, our beloved stars never fail to amuse us with their dedication and efforts, and we have an entire list as proof. Let’s have a look at some of the artists who literally took our breath away with the way they represented their on-screen characters!
Rami Malek: Freddie Mercury (Bohemian Rhapsody)

Freddie Mercury is not alive today, but had he been still here, he would have been amazed the way Rami Malek played him on screen. There is no room for question that Rami’s performance in Bohemian Rhapsody is one of his best works until now, and he deserved every accolade that came along.
To achieve a realistic look, the actor had to use prosthetics, especially to make the teeth and nose look just like that of Queen’s lead singer. All thanks to the star – even the millennials know about the band now, and the legendary music icon will not be forgotten anytime soon.
Taron Egerton: Elton John (Rocketman)

As soon as Kingsman: The Secret Service hit the big screen, Taron Egerton became a familiar face to the public, and subsequently, he got fortunate enough to land the role of the legendary music icon Elton John in 2019’s Rocketman.
As it was a biopic, it was obvious that the actor had to undergo a transformation to do justice to the part (which he did) and even had to go semi-bald to represent the ‘70s look of the singer. Although it was not an easy job to perform as Elton, Taron’s hard work was praiseworthy, and it should be admitted that the makers picked the right guy for the film.
Charlize Theron: Aileen Wuornos (Monster)

This would probably be one of the most insane transformations in the history of biopics. The way Charlize changed herself to look like Aileen Wuornos in the famous movie Monster, it never gave an impression that an actor was performing someone else on the screen.
Instead, with the 30lbs of weight gain, shaved eyebrows, and freckled skin, Charlize did a commendable job to get a genuine appearance of Aileen. Of course, the actress was super impressive in the role, and she proved that she has a great sense when it comes to picking the right films.
Yaya Dacosta: Whitney Houston (Whitney)

Looking at Yaya Dacosta in the avatar of Whitney Houston, it feels like she was the only one who was meant for portraying the memorable singer in her biographical film. Even though the transformation appears so convincing, it was not actually an easy one as the actress had to put intense efforts to get into the character.
Not only she had to invest most of her time in researching and practicing Whitney’s mannerisms, Yaya even had to face the challenge of depicting the addictive side of the award-winning artist. As much as the role was demanding, it helped the star prove that models can be great actors too!
Tiffany Smith: Meghan Markle (Harry & Meghan Becoming Royal)

It was not that Tiffany Smith looked like a doppelganger of the Duchess of Sussex only in Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal. In fact, she was always mistaken for the former Suits actress. The close resemblance she naturally carries with Meghan could be one of the strongest reasons she was selected for the role.
Just like the name suggests, the film is all about the new life of the couple ever since they got married. Meghan’s life has surely changed after becoming a royal – let’s see if Tiffany’s career gets a boost after this movie.
Naomi Watts: Princess Diana (Diana)

Year after year, Naomi Watts has continued to amuse her worldwide fans with some great performances. Although one of her movies, Diana, had to face harsh criticism from the film experts, it can’t be denied that she did a great job portraying the gorgeous Princess.
Maybe the movie couldn’t manage to impress the audiences, but Naomi didn’t fail to imitate Diana’s body language and gestures. Well, given the unpredictable world of entertainment, a movie’s box-office performance can never be anticipated correctly. However, we still appreciate the actress to have taken a role that was worth her time and effort.
Selma Blair: Kris Jenner (American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson)

It’s always interesting to see a celebrity performing as another celebrity, especially when both come from the same industry. This time it’s Selma Blair’s depiction of the world-famous reality star Kris Jenner American Crime Story’s first season which told the case of O.J. Simpson and the death of his former wife Nicole.
As Kris happened to be one of the close friends of the deceased, she also came into the spotlight during the trial. Speaking of Selma’s portrayal of her, she certainly managed to impress everyone with her acting and the duo even got along well in real life.
Natalie Portman: Jackie Kennedy (Jackie)

Didn’t Natalie Portman just look incredible as Jackie Kennedy in the popular first lady’s biopic? We bet that for a moment, you were not able to figure out who’s who from the image!
It’s a known fact that the actress has given many notable performances in movies like Closer and Black Swan, and even if she didn’t win the Academy Award for Jackie, she still managed to make it to the list of nominees which is an achievement in itself. If Natalie keeps on choosing scripts like that, we are sure she will continue having a lucrative career for decades to come.
Val Kilmer: Jim Morrison (The Doors)

Some roles are so intense that the actors actually need to live like the person whom they portray on screen. While prepping at such an extreme level surely brings out memorable performances, it sometimes results in affecting the artists’ state of mind as well.
Val Kilmer is one of the stars who had a similar experience while filming The Doors in which he depicted the long-haired singer Jim Morrison. The character was so demanding that the former even needed therapy to get back to his normal life. Although the film had moderate reviews, Kilmer’s work was worth noticing – so was his get-up as the iconic rock musician.
Jennifer Lopez: Selena Quintanilla (Selena)

Jennifer Lopez is not just a style icon and a great singer, but she also has the capacity to play a real-life character on the screen. We are talking about the musical biopic Selena, where she beautifully depicted the role of the popular artist and fashion icon Selena Quintanilla.
Jennifer’s efforts in the movie were commendable, and she became the first of her origin to get a million-dollar fee other than receiving a Golden Globe nomination. The actress (who luckily resembles the other) even slept in the deceased singer’s bed to get a feel of the character, and it’s undeniable that she completely revived the Tejano star with her performance.
Zac Efron: Ted Bundy (Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, And Vile)

This one role proved that Zac Efron’s acting skill is not limited to just playing a popular high school kid or a hot-looking lifeguard at the beach. It was indeed a surprise to see him portraying Ted Bundy, one of the most notorious serial killers in American history, in the movie called Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
However, unlike many other biopics, Zac didn’t need to go through a drastic transformation (other than the curly hair, of course) as his appearance easily made him fit into the character. Well, it looks like the actor is on the right track to showcase his versatility with such roles!
Daniel-Day Lewis: Abraham Lincoln (Lincoln)

It’s not every day that a film like Lincoln is made, and similarly, not every other actor can portray Abraham Lincoln the way Daniel-Day Lewis did. Speaking of the transformation, the actor completely immersed himself in the character, which is quite apparent from his appearance in the movie.
Not just the prosthetics, beard, and hairstyle were on point, Daniel remained in the former U.S. President’s character for 90 days. Interestingly, everybody on the set (including the director) addressed the star as Mr. President and the technique actually worked! Now we know why he is the only male celebrity to have won three Oscars in the acting category.
Jamie Foxx: Ray Charles (Ray)

Did you notice that most actors who perform the lead role in biographical movies end up winning an Oscar? Obviously, doing justice to a real-life character on the silver screen is not a bed of roses, especially when it’s about playing ‘The Genius’ – Ray Charles who was blind since childhood, a legend in the world of music, and also had issues related to drug addiction.
Nonetheless, Foxx took up the challenge, lost 30 pounds of weight, and boy, he just created magic through his performance! Though it was sad that Ray couldn’t become a part of the film’s success as he passed away shortly before its premiere.
Meryl Streep: Margaret Thatcher (The Iron Lady)

Meryl Streep never fails to amuse the audiences and that pretty much explains why she has bagged numerous esteemed awards over the years. One of the most challenging films of her career was The Iron Lady where she portrayed the famous politician Margaret Thatcher and the transformation she underwent for the role was so impressive that the movie even won an Oscar in the best makeup category.
Apart from using prosthetics to get a convincing look, the actress also changed her accent and we are sure that original Margaret, too, must have felt proud after watching Meryl’s remarkable performance.
Salma Hayek: Frida Kahlo (Frida)

Everybody who ever doubted Salma Hayek’s acting talent had to change their opinions about the actress after watching Frida in which she depicted the famous Mexican painter. From the hairstyle and unibrow to the jewelry and clothes, she imitated every aspect of the artist’s personality and earned huge recognition for reincarnating Frida Kahlo on the big screen.
Not only did the movie do commercially well but also established Salma as a promising star along with getting nominations for several renowned accolades. Oh, and she was also one of the producers of this memorable project – we are sure that came as a surprise to most of you!
Julianne Moore: Sarah Palin (Game Change)

Talking about the actors who impressively performed the role of a well-known person, Julianne Moore certainly deserves a place on the list. It was not long ago when she played the part of Sarah Palin in Game Change so you won’t find it hard to recall her noteworthy performance in the television film.
Even though the movie received a mixed response, the prolific actress managed to collect an Emmy for her work. Interestingly, even Moore’s husband and kids felt as if they were actually with Sarah during on the set, and we agree that the resemblance was totally uncanny!
Sean Penn: Harvey Milk (Milk)

Harvey Milk was no ordinary man – neither is the actor who played his role in 2008’s Milk. Sean Penn, who was already an Oscar winner, might have had an idea that a film like that could bring him another Academy and maybe that worked as a motivation for him to accept such a challenging project.
Considering the efforts that he put to get into the character and the way he soaked all the details related to the popular politician, nobody can deny that the star’s performance was a salute to a real-life hero who had to embrace an unfortunate death.
Leonardo Dicaprio: Howard Hughes (The Aviator)

Are you amazed at Leonardo Dicaprio’s version of the famous business tycoon Howard Hughes? So are we! That center partitioned hairstyle, the mustache and, of course, the body language – the star proved that he deserved the Academy nomination (that’s another thing that he didn’t receive the award).
Among all the memorable performances given by the actor throughout his career, the one in The Aviator will always be special, especially for the part where he masterfully depicted the entrepreneur’s battle with severe OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder). Well, it’s Leonardo after all - excelling at tough roles is all he does!
Eddie Redmayne: Stephen Hawking (The Theory Of Everything)

When Stephen Hawking watched Eddie Redmayne portraying his role in The Theory Of Everything, he couldn’t help but feel that the person on the screen was none other than himself. What else could be more satisfying for an actor than getting such a great compliment, right?
Believe it or not, it actually happened with Eddie whose performance as the physically challenged cosmologist convinced everyone who watched the film. Besides huge appreciation, the star also received an Oscar and now it’s confirmed that Academy has a serious liking towards biopics – most of them if not all.
Marion Cotillard: Edith Piaf (La Vie En Rose)

If you are thinking what was the inspiration behind this movie name – it’s actually a widely known song by the renowned French vocalist Edith Piaf. When the makers of the film chose Marion Cotillard, they probably knew that she would be able to do justice to the role and the actress proved them right!
All the books that Marion read and all the footage she watched definitely worked wonders as she not only learned to recreate the singer’s style but also showcased the deepest emotions while portraying the part in front of the camera.
John Travolta: John Gotti (Gotti)

All of us have known the multi-talented performer John Travolta ever since he appeared on the television sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. Thanks to a charming personality and fairly impressive acting talent, the actor has had a lucrative professional journey so far and he is still doing extremely well in fetching different roles.
Take his performance in 2018’s Gotti, wasn’t he great at his portrayal of John Gotti, the mobster? Not just acting but the star looked convincing in terms of physical appearance too. If he keeps working with that pace, it won’t be a surprise if we see him gracing the screen for a couple of more decades to come.
John C. Reilly & Steve Coogan: Laurel & Hardy (Stan & Ollie)

Philip Seymour Hoffman: Truman Capote (Capote)

Philip acted in many movies since 1991, and his journey of portraying distinctive character roles continued until his sudden demise a few years ago. Although he had many memorable performances to his name, the one that stands out was in Bennett Miller’s Capote – a film based on the life of renowned novelist Truman Capote.
As much as his transition into the character was super impressive, it was not something that happened overnight. In fact, the actor lost a lot of weight and used method acting to make everything look real. It was tough for sure, but then the number of accolades Philip received made the hard work worth it.
Benedict Cumberbatch: Alan Turing (The Imitation Game)

Although the first choice for the role of English mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing in 2014’s The Imitation Game was not Benedict Cumberbatch, it can be said that the film was meant for him as he eventually landed up the part.
The movie was all about the genius’ life struggles, and there is no denying that Cumberbatch did an incredible job performing as Alan. Time and again, the star has proved his caliber, and that’s why he is one of the most celebrated actors of Hollywood at present. Yes, we know Dr. Strange is still your favorite!
Matthew McConaughey: Ron Woodruff (Dallas Buyer’s Club)

Who would have known that Matthew McConaughey, an actor popular for comedy movies, would end up giving a stunning performance as the cowboy Ron Woodruff in Dallas Buyers Club? To become on-screen Ron, the hunk shed more than 50 pounds to get a feeble appearance which was needed to show that the character was terminally ill.
Matthew’s commitment towards the role showed that he is equally capable of doing genres other than comedy. Do you know how the newly formed appreciation is described after he shifted to dramatic roles like these? ‘The McConaissance’. Sounds cool, right?
Faye Dunaway: Joan Crawford (Mommie Dearest)

If your jaws dropped at this one, you are not alone – we reacted the same way! Given the transformation, it is hard to distinguish that the actress on the left side is Faye Dunaway and not Joan Crawford.
Mommie Dearest is said to be one of the most talked-about biopics as it highlighted some negative aspects of Crawford, but the results couldn’t meet the expectations of many, including her daughter Christina who was closely involved in the project. However, Faye’s performance in the movie was appreciated, though the actress doesn’t count it among her personal favorites.
Michelle Williams: Marilyn Monroe (My Week With Marilyn)

Michelle Williams is known for her choice of unique roles, especially the ones that carry a tragic or dark theme. Perhaps that was the reason she was selected to portray the iconic superstar Marilyn Monroe in the drama film My Week With Marilyn.
To get a fuller physique, the Brokeback Mountain actress struggled quite a bit while gaining weight in a suitable manner, and eventually, she had to use artificial stuffing to look plump. As usual, Michelle made sure to impress the audience and critics through her performance and her position as a prominent performer strengthened even more in the industry.
Morgan Freeman: Nelson Mandela (Invictus)

A star like Morgan Freeman doesn’t need to be introduced formally. In fact, the revolutionary political personality Nelson Mandela, too, was a fan of the actor, and even recommended his name when asked about his thoughts of a biopic on his life. That was how Freeman, a celebrated name in the industry, got the role of Mandela in Clint Eastwood’s Invictus.
Interestingly, both of them shared a friendship in real life, but contrary to people’s assumption, they knew each other way before the film was made and the bond between the two was one of the factors that helped the actor portray the character with such ease.
Renée Zellweger: Judy Garland (Judy)

Renée Zellweger has given enough reasons to moviegoers to be her loyal admirers. We are sure you still can’t forget her performance as the lead character in The Bridget Jones Diary franchise. And, it’s not just comedy that is her forte, she has a knack for other genres too – be it playing a garrulous character in Cold Mountain or depicting the role of Judy Garland in her newest venture Judy.
Way before the release, the biopic has created a lot of buzz, and it is being said that the film could bring another Oscar for Renée. Well, remembering the actress' past work, we won’t be surprised if that happens!
Russell Crowe: Roger Ailes (The Loudest Voice)

Who says you have to be a romantic lead in movies to be successful as an actor? Performers like Russell Crowe are proof that dramatic roles are equally loved by the cinema devotees. From Gladiator to American Gangster to A Beautiful Mind, he has displayed a versatile acting talent several times.
This time, it’s the challenge of portraying the influential media consultant Roger Ailes that came his way and looking at the way he has transformed into the role, we are completely impressed by Russell all over again. Roger would have definitely felt proud if he was still here to see the star depicting him on the screen.
Darren Criss: Andrew Cunanan (The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story)

You might remember Darren Criss for appearing in Fox’s comedy series Glee as Blaine Anderson, a role that he played for five years. Other than being an actor, he also has a flair for singing and songwriting and has been known for composing songs like This Time.
Although his good looks make him more suitable for decent characters, he didn’t shy away from taking the negative character of Andrew Cunanan in one of the American Crime Story seasons. Now that we already know his talent, we can’t wait to see him perform more such promising roles in the future.
Christian Bale: Dick Cheney (Vice)

Can Christian Bale ever fail to shock his fans with his tremendous transformations? Absolutely no! Probably no other actor can beat him in this area – be it undergoing an extreme weight loss or putting on excess pounds, he has an insane ability to take on every challenge.
One such example of his dedication can be seen in Vice (2018) when he performed as Dick Cheney, the American politician. Though the facial appearance was the magic of a great makeup team, the weight gain was completely natural and with a Golden Globe for his performance, Bale continued to add another feather of achievement in his cap.
Sarah Paulson: Marcia Clark (The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story)

It doesn’t need to be specified how talented is Sarah Paulson because not everybody makes it to Time magazine’s list of the world’s most influential people. Ever since starting a career, she has managed to retain her reputation in the industry and has also won hearts off camera in the role of a director.
One of the reasons that American Crime Story’s first season became memorable is the performance of Sarah as Marcia Clark, who was the prosecutor in O.J. Simpson’s case. When an actress like her plays a strong character like Clark, isn’t it obvious that she deserved all the awards that she received for the series?
Claire Foy: Queen Elizabeth II (The Crown)

Gorgeous Claire Foy formed an elegant young queen when she got the opportunity to portray Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown for which she received an Emmy as well as a Golden Globe. To her delight, not only the audience loved her, but Her Majesty (the real one) was also impressed with the actress performance and why not?
The way she learned and depicted royal mannerism was worth the praise. If Claire keeps on choosing such roles, we can assume that nothing could stop her from having a long-lasting career in the acting industry.
Margot Robbie: Tonya Harding (I, Tonya)

Tonya Harding used to be a bright figure skater, but things took an unpleasant turn when one of her former husbands choreographed an attack on her opponent Nancy Kerrigan. Unfortunately, despite not being a part of the crime, she was considered guilty and had to face a lifetime ban.
Since then, Harding’s story has remained a subject of several movies, including I, Tonya in which Margot Robbie starred as her. Thanks to the Australian actress’ performance, there has been a positive shift in the way the skater is looked upon by the public.
Gary Oldman: Winston Churchill (The Darkest Hour)

Gary Oldman looks nothing like the great Winston Churchill in real life, but thanks to his patience while sitting in the make-up chair for hours and the magic of popular special effects artist Kazuhiro Tsuji, the entire transformation turned out to be incredible.
The cherry on the cake was the actor’s performance, which gave a realistic impression of Churchill on the screen. The best part about the movie was that both Gary and Kazuhiro won an Oscar for their respective areas. Are you still not convinced that it’s the award-winning actor on the left? We can totally relate to that!
Tom Hardy: The Kray Twins (Legend)

While all the other actors on this list are known for portraying a single person, Tom Hardy has special experience of playing two characters in one movie. We are talking about the crime thriller Legend, where he depicted the dual role of the notorious twins – the Kray brothers.
Even if he was depicting twins, the characters were different, and there is no doubt that he had to work twice as hard as others who performed in a biopic. Tom has already built an impressive resume so far, and with films like these, it looks like he is on the way to grab an Academy Award soon enough.
Kerry Washington: Anita Hill (Confirmation)

Kerry Washington is a publicly recognized figure, and most of it comes from the television series Scandal where she graced the screen as Olivia Pope. However, there are other roles too through which she grabbed attention, Confirmation’s Anita Hill being one of them.
The political thriller film was all about the famous academic Anita who was a part of major headlines back in 1991 after she testified against Clarence Thomas (a Supreme Court nominee at that time). As a part of the preparation, Kerry personally spoke to her along with studying all the accessible footage of the much-talked-about case. Did the actress justify the role? Of course, she did!
Tom Hanks: Walt Disney (Saving Mr. Banks)

When it comes to portraying a figure as prominent as Walt Disney, even a superstar like Tom Hanks has to think multiple times before accepting the role. It happened when a movie narrating the story of Mary Poppins’ making was being made in 2013.
As the world-known animator had promised his daughters, he wanted to make the film but had to convince P. L. Travers, who was the creator of the story. Ultimately, the actor accepted the part and it turned out that he never needed to worry as once again he just proved that no acting challenge is big enough for him to handle.
Cate Blanchett: Bob Dylan (I’m Not There)

If you ever got a chance to watch the musical drama I’m Not There, you would know why Cate Blanchett is regarded as one of the top-earning actresses worldwide. The film was one of its kind as six different people depicted Bob Dylan on the screen and of those was Cate.
Even when there was so much competition in a single movie, she made sure to get noticed through a remarkable performance. Her transformation itself is telling the entire story about how she soaked up the character for which she even received an Oscar nomination.
Tom Hiddleston: Hank Williams (I Saw The Light)

Most of you remember him mostly as the God of Mischief from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the fact is that Tom Hiddleston has given many other successful performances other than playing Loki. A good example is a film called I Saw The Light, a story about the famous country music star Hank Williams.
In the movie, Hiddleston depicted how Williams’ fame skyrocketed suddenly and the repercussions it had on the singer’s relationships and health, which eventually led to his untimely death. So, now you got one more reason to admire the Asgardian, huh?
Benjamin Kingsley: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Gandhi)

Usually, we see that famous books or novels become the inspiration to make movies, but in this case, Gandhi’s story became the inspiration for writing a book post the immense worldwide praise received by the film. The portrayal of a strong leader was a big challenge for honorable actor Benjamin Kingsley, which he accepted and made the performance a memorable one.
Apart from his powerful acting, he also amused everybody with his super impressive transformation for this legendary character. That was just the beginning of a stellar career as the British film industry had discovered a gem which still continues to shine.
Taylor Kitsch: David Koresh (Waco)

Most of the actors prefer taking challenging roles to prove their knack of acting and so did Taylor Kitsch when he took on the part of David Koresh in the crime thriller miniseries Waco. At one point, he felt so overwhelmed while rehearsing for the character that he almost dropped out of the series.
We don’t really blame Taylor to have felt that way because, given the not-so-normal personality of David, it’s possible that it could have affected the former’s mental health. Nonetheless, everything went well, and the star’s efforts were recognized widely after the show went on-air.
Penelope Cruz: Donatella Versace (American Crime Story)

The gorgeous Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz is one of the most celebrated actresses of her origin and when an actress like her makes a television debut, it has to be big. Luckily, the star's first ever gig on the small screen started with playing none other than the esteemed fashionista Donatella Versace in American Crime Story’s second season which about her brother Gianni’s assassination.
Considering her past performances, it’s obvious that when Penelope depicts a character on the screen, she doesn’t fail to amaze the audiences. This time too, she repeated the history of great acting, and we can’t wait to see her gracing the screen again.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: Edward Snowden (Snowden)

Sometimes the filmmakers find it hard to wait before making a film based on a scandalous story that has not even reached a conclusion in real life. Same happened in case of Oliver Stone’s Snowden, inspired by the incident of Edward Snowden who created sensational news in 2013 when he reportedly shared confidential information with the media.
Contrary to everyone’s expectation, the movie couldn’t do that well at the box office, but Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the actor who played the lead role, surely benefited from the project after receiving wide appreciation for his work.
Willem Dafoe: Vincent Van Gogh (At Eternity’s Gate)

There might be plenty of great actors in Hollywood, but only a few fit into the category of prolific performers, especially in character roles. One of those rare talents is Willem Dafoe who has been honored with several prestigious awards to date, including 4 Oscar nominations – one of which was for 2018’s At Eternity's Gate.
The film emphasized on the final years of one of the most influential painting artists of all-time, Vincent Van Gogh, and what made it special was the way the creators gave a touch of speculation to his death showing that it might have been accidental. Oh, you are Willem’s fan already? So are we!
Bruno Ganz: Adolf Hitler (Downfall)

Having a career that lasts for over 50 years would be a dream for any artist, and this famous Swiss actor lived that dream during which he performed many different characters in films and television.
There is no denying that every movie holds a special place in an actor’s life (most of them, if not all) but some are just unforgettable, and Downfall is one of those gigs for which Bruno will be remembered for a long time. From adapting to Adolf Hitler’s facial expressions to the way he looked, Bruno pulled off the part so well that all of it looked effortless on the big screen.
Joey King & Patricia Arquette: Gypsy & Dee Dee (The Act)

The captivating performances of Joey King and Patricia Arquette in the web series The Act has not only won the hearts of viewers but also the critics. Based on a real-life story, they portrayed the parts of mother-daughter duo Gypsy Rose and Dee Dee where the latter makes her daughter believe about having diseases that she never had in reality.
Interestingly, both the actresses bonded well during the filming and that became one of the reasons Joey delivered an exceptional performance even while working alongside such an acclaimed star. She made a great fit for Gypsy, didn’t she?
Kurt Russell: Elvis Presley (Elvis)

Starting a career as a 12-year-old, even Kurt Russell might have forgotten the number of movies that he did until now. Be it on television or the silver screen, the actor kept on amusing his millions of fans year after year, and there are no signs of slowing down even today.
Being one of the top-rated stars of the ‘70s, Kurt was selected for playing the music legend Elvis Presley in the biographical movie Elvis (1979) which coincidently became his last television film role. And let us tell you: the star almost made everyone believe that they were actually seeing the singer. Yes, the transformation was that good indeed!
Ashton Kutcher: Steve Jobs (Jobs)

There would be hardly anyone who doesn’t know Steve Jobs and the level of fame he achieved is the reason that numerous films have been made on his life. One of them was Matt Whiteley’s written Jobs in which Ashton Kutcher got the opportunity to play the revolutionary business magnate.
With a hairstyle and beard matching that of Steve’s younger version, the actor managed to carry a convincing resemblance in the movie, which showed his journey towards super success. For those who have mostly seen the half-bald look of the businessman, this might come as a surprise, but we can assure you that it’s him on the right side.
